Pinnacle Construction Group (PCG) has steadily grown to become a leader in providing Pre-Construction, General Contracting, Design-Build, LEED, and Construction Management services, with projects all through the Kansas City region.

Pinnacle Construction Group, LLC (PCG) is a General Contracting Company established in 2006 in the Kansas City area. PCG is owned by Kenneth G. Block with operations being directed on a daily basis by Shawn Handy. Our business has steadily grown through the down-turn economy of the past two years, working with continued relationships of past / current clients.

Kenneth G. Block is the owner of Pinnacle Construction Group and the managing principal of Block Real Estate Services, LLC. He entered the real estate field in 1975.

Shawn Handy – Senior Vice President / VP of Operations

Shawn graduated from Pittsburg State University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management and an Associate's Degree in Business Administration. During his time at Pittsburg, Shawn spent his summers interning for various companies where he gained valuable estimating and construction management experience. He spent seven years working with Walton Construction as a Sr. Project Manager working on remodeling projects for a repeat client AMC, and overseeing the construction of several mixed-use retail developments, office buildings, and retail strip centers.

Since joining the Pinnacle Construction Group team in June of 2007 Shawn has led the way in expanding the company and the services we offer. He brings his unique perspective, experience and pride in a job well done to every project he works on, which results in a high quality finished product for his client. His hard work and attention to detail has earned him the respect and trust of the Owners, Tenants and Contractors that he has worked with throughout his career.

Shawn has extensive experience handling all aspects of construction management which include: pre-construction services, design development, design assist, LEED, and project closeout. He has consistently shown his ability to manage an array of projects including multi-site and single site development, shell building construction, building expansion, commercial development, build-to-suit, and tenant finish work. The ability to manage this depth of product stems from both the hard work that he is willing to put into a project and the knowledge that he has acquired working in the construction field.

Currently, Shawn is managing the construction and field operations of several tenant finishes as well as working on preconstruction of various other projects.

Shawn currently resides in Shawnee, Kansas, with his Wife, Angela, and their children Rheagan, Ryan and Reece.

Superintendent

Don Fields – Superintendent

Don started with Pinnacle Construction Group in late 2012 and has completed several projects from retail to office tenant build outs to major warehouse construction projects. Don has the ability to study specifications in order to plan procedures for staffing requirements in each phase of construction, based on knowledge of available tools, equipment and various building methods. He also has the ability to Work with Mechanical and Electrical engineering personnel to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods. Finally and most importantly Don has the capacity to Inspect work in progress to ensure that work conforms to specifications and that construction schedules and standards are followed.

Tim Ward

Project Manager

Tim Ward – Project Manager

Tim Ward joined Pinnacle Construction Group, LLC in June, 2022. He attended Pittsburg State University & University of Kansas.

Tim has extensive experience handling all aspects of construction management and property management.

Tim has consistently shown his ability to manage an array of projects including interior office, industrial, and retail tenant finish work. The ability to manage this depth of product stems from both the hard work that he is willing to put into a project and the knowledge that he has acquired working in the construction field. Because of his attention to detail, the company has been able to expand into handling all aspects of move management, site selection, budget evaluation, contract administration and project management.

Tim brings his unique perspective, experience and pride in a job well done to every project he works on, which results in a high quality finished product for his client. His hard work and attention to detail has earned him the respect and trust of the Owners, Tenants and Contractors that he has worked with throughout his career.

Brad resides in Overland Park, Kansas, with his wife Cathy and children Coen & Hayden.
